Calgary 2008

[dropcap]W[/dropcap] e were invited by the City of Calgary to do a 3 day program that would try and reach mostly Sudanese refugee youth. This was a population that previously did not engage much with any of the cities outreach programs. With a little customizing of our programing the feedback we received from the youth was this was exactly the type of stuff they would like to be involved in. We also actively participated in Calgary’s first Urban Street festival called “LiveStyle”. We must of done something right as the city invited us back the next year to customize our programing for two new distinct youth populations. We love Calgary and were blessed to have Redpower Squad participate as part of the Blueprint team.
