Our first Cree community workshop.
Wow! what an amazing drive to get there on the James Bay highway – unbelievable scenery ! Special thanks to Sam and Margret Bearskin. These Elders treated us to some traditional food in a teepee and taught the BluePrint team how to make bannock on a stick. Some of our team had never seen bears before so our trip to the dump at night was a real adventure. The youth are still very proud of their culture and this was felt so passionately when the local drumming group performed and shared during the workshop. Most Canadians never get to see James bay! We feel blessed. Thanks for having us.
